Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered a minority-owned, professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, currently has an excellent opportunity for a talented and energetic, Communications Engineer.

SALARY RANGE

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will provide professional engineering expertise in the oversight of major capital transit projects;
  • Review project sponsors' plans related to implementing electronic and communication facilities for the project as well as other supporting documentation to ensure that projects are being built safely, on budget, on schedule, within scope, and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines; and
  • Incumbent will serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert in communications on transit projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in designing and implementing electronic and related communications systems, with at least 6 of the 12 years in passenger rail or related transportation modes;
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering;
  • Knowledge of Internet and Computing Technologies, Structured Cabling, Fiber Optic Networks, LAN/WAN systems, and Intrusion Detection is required; and
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is required.
