Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered (DHA) is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with treatment plant and pumping station rehabilitation experience for a program management contract.

SALARY RANGE
$40 - $80 per hour


Responsibilities

  • Conduct studies, plan capital improvement projects, provide permitting planning and support;
  • Prepare RFQ/RFPs for Construction Managers at Risk (CMAR) and Progressive Design-Build (PDB) contracts;
  • Manage designs submitted by others;
  • Coordinate projects with various stakeholders; and
  • Manage multiple project schedules and budgets.


Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a degree in civil engineering or a related field;
  • Must have 3-8 years of relevant engineering design and experience;
  • A Professional Engineering (PE) license in the District of Columbia or ability to obtain within two years;
  • Familiarity with operations and permitting requirements is preferred;
  • Familiarity with design standards is preferred;
  • CMAR and PDB project delivery methods experience is preferred;
  • Familiarity with project management software as well as Microsoft office programs are required; and
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment about 90% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required about 10% of the time where work may be conducted outside in one or more of the following conditions: heat or cold, wet or humid, and dry or arid. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required as needed.
