From 1988 to 2015, Delon Hampton & Associates (DHA), as a joint-venture member, provided program and construction management services for major capital improvement projects at both Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airports (IAD).
Functioning as an extension of the Owner’s staff, the joint-venture’s responsibilities included overall program planning, budgeting and master schedule development, design management, construction management, and construction inspection services. Our project executives, engineers, design coordinators, schedulers, and inspectors facilitated program management efforts on major, multi-task projects at both DCA and IAD.
Improvements at DCA included a new airport-wide roadway system; the rehabilitation and restoration of the historic, original main terminal, including construction of a tunnel with moving sidewalks from the terminal to parking structures; renovation and construction of maintenance facilities, air cargo, and fueling operations in the South Airfield area; demolition of Hangar One for the construction of a new taxicab holding area for approximately 800 taxicabs; and paving of the infield between Taxiways J and K.
